Barlympics 3 is the third annual competition we hosted at a park. The last time we hosted Barlympics was back in 2017.
This year we had a great turnout at Rainbow Family Park with 29 competitors. Eleven female athletes and 18 male athletes. Some of the athletes came from Northern California and Southern California. The remaining athletes were locals of Las Vegas.
This competition had no freestyle, unlike the past two, we did. Also, the main event was different. It wasn't any max reps on each movement but we did award the athlete with the most reps in each exercise. We did four exercises as one run this year, consisting of burpees, squats, push-ups, and pull-ups—something very similar to Vegas Strong's competition but with no dead stops. The athlete with the highest overall reps won! Prior to the main event had some challenges which included jump ropes, planks, dead hangs, weighted pull-ups, and muscle-ups.
